ThrowBack Shield Instructions

Install the TBS, bowl side down, between the round feed pan and the feed tube. Due to manufacturing variances of the Norwalk Juicer, a small adjustment on the upper and lower lip of the TBS, with the jaws of a crescent wrench, for a tight fit on the feed pan may be needed for initial installation.

Turn on your juicer and using your hand, push the small end of the carrot, cut-up fruit, or vegetable into the TBS. If you are triturating leafy vegetables such as spinach or parsley, start them into the TBS with your hand and then use the pusher provided with your juicer. IMPORTANT! Every third or fourth carrot, leave a stub showing above the TBS rim and push it through with the pusher, this will keep the TBS clear of pulp. This device is an accessory to the pusher, not a replacement.

Cleaning: When you are finished juicing, turn off your juicer, remove the round feed pan with a twist, and the TBS in the same manner. Insert the pusher in the top of the feed tube turn, on the juicer, and tap the pusher. This will remove the accumulated pulp remaining in the top of the tube. Turn off your juicer and continue cleaning. Push a soapy kitchen cloth thru the TBS in both directions under warm running water to remove any accumulated debris, and rinse. Do not put in your dishwasher as it may warp the discs. With proper cleaning your TBS should provide you with many years of service.

NEVER LEAVE THE PUSHER IN THE TBS, IT MAY DAMAGE THE POLYMER DISCS!

Warranty: The stainless steel components of the ThrowBack Shield have a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.

Warranty does not apply if, but not limited to: unit has been damaged due to misuse, improper installation, excessive temperatures, or general misapplication of the units use and purpose. The polymer discs have a limited three-year pro-rated guarantee, and the same guidelines listed above apply.
